We take any Styrofoam that has the recycling symbol 6 in the triangle with PS underneath it.
NEW
We now have to process any piece of Styrofoam that has color on it from the white pieces. If you can pre-sort it before dropping off, it would be helpful!
- Packing blocks
- Packing peanuts (must snap and must not disintegrate when placed in water)
- Produce and meat trays with the recycle symbol in the triangle (biodegrable trays do not have a recycle symbol)
- Take out containers (please rinse)
- Hot cups such as Dunkin Donuts and Honey Do (We can not take Starbucks and most McDonalds because they have cardboard infused on them.)
- Trays
- Plastic utensils (Must be kept separate from any of the above Styrofoam pieces and brought to one day events only)
- White insulation sheets
We Do NOT take the following
- Bubble wrap
- Soft foam such as pipe insulation
- Biodegradable produce and meat trays
- For example GenPak without the recycling symbol
- Biodegradable packing peanuts
- Corn based products
- Soft foam pads
- Blue or Pink insulation sheets unless in full size sheets
